TThe license on server7 is currently displayed as ‘expired’ erroneously, we’re awaiting a response from our license provider in order to sort it out. There’s no estimated time of the issue being resolved.
Update 2:20 PM EST
We’ve been in touch with the licensing provider. The underlying issue was a software glitch that allowed another company to disable our license from cPanel. The issue should be sorted soon and the glitch sorted so it doesn’t reoccur in the future.
Thank you for your patience! Working with 3rd parties is less than fun.
Update 6:41 PM EST
Not to rain on a parade but a mere licensing issue taking almost twelve hours to resolve is disgusting. The issue at hand however, is still not resolved.
Updates will be available when we get one.
Update 8:37 PM EST: Resolved
MacGuyver would be proud. Rather than waiting, one of the cPanel minions gave us an idea to license a secondary IP address on the server to bypass this whole fiasco while waiting for an update on the primary IP address. Bypassed for now & everything is now fully operational again.
Good morning folks,
As of about 10 minutes ago both server6 & server7 became unavailable momentarily. It seems that each system lost power for mere seconds and restarted. We’re investigating into the primary cause and will post the update here when complete.
The total downtime for each system was minimal and it isn’t expected to reoccur.
As of 12:42 PM EST, we noted some degraded performance on server4 as a result of one drive in the RAID array being problematic. The system will be getting brought down shortly for a quick drive replacement.
In total the server should not be offline for more than 30 minutes total, give or take a few moments. We’ll have additional updates available directly via this status blog as they become available.
Update: 2:03 PM EST — The system is now being brought offline to replace the drive inside. We’ve been told it should take no longer than 20-25 minutes. We’ll keep you up to date as it proceeds. Until now the system has been online and fully operational, although we did have one user experiencing a mail issue.
Update: 2:23 PM EST – The system is now coming back online with the new drive in place & the array is rebuilding. Note everything is back online but while the array rebuilds there may be some performance effects.
Thank you for your patience!
